Tindall’s Georgia Division to Deliver a Total Precast Solution for Gwinnett Justice & Administration Center

Tindall Corporation’s Georgia Division will provide the precast concrete for the Gwinnett Justice & Administration Center (GJAC) expansion located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The project includes additions to the courthouse along with a new parking deck and pedestrian bridge connecting the two structures.

“Our team is appreciative of the opportunity to partner with Gwinnett County,” said Rob Smith, Vice President and General Manager of Tindall’s Georgia Division. “We are looking forward to leveraging our in-house engineering resources to create a solution that will eliminate additional precast pieces and positively impact the overall budget.”

Tindall developed this comprehensive solution by seamlessly integrating the new designs into the current building using total precast components, in addition to providing valued engineering resources to save time and cost.

The extension to the facility will total 180,000 square feet and include a 1,500-space parking structure, almost doubling the center’s existing precast deck. Renovations to the courthouse include additional courtrooms, judges’ chambers, jury deliberation rooms and room for expansion.

Travis Parton, Matt Goodwin and Tim Henson led the Tindall Georgia team in collaboration with Gilbane Building Company and Reeves Young as Construction Manager, and Pieper O’Brien Herr Architects, to complete the project. The facility will be completed and open to the public in the fall of 2020.
